Welcome aboard Francis. Glad to have you here (finally).
I won't make it this go around due to already planned activities this weekend. How often are trips planned? I definitely want to get on one ASAP. Also, do you know of a good, local spot to get HAM radio certified?Bens trip over Labor Day might be perfect for you! Check it out on meetup.
Ya we realize the timing. for now just plan to "collect" what we need and make plans for next season. Thanks!Hey Jared. Assuming you are in Colorado (most members are) and in the Denver area (most members are), the season is pretty much coming to a close. Snow was flying on Vail, Eisenhower and Hoosier passes today. I just got back from camping in Utah this weekend- it was soggy. You have to head south this time of year. Or wait until about May.
As far as essentials: a tent, sleeping bags and food. And gas in the tank to get you there and back. Keep it simple and have fun.
Welcome... hope to here more about your SubaruHey guys my name is Nick! I've been a member for a few months and am located in the Colorado Springs area. I currently have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek that I am contemplating modifying into a backroads/forest roads Overlanding vehicle until I acquire a more dedicated truck/jeep. I also wanted to reach out to you guys to let you know I work for Overland Pro Shop/Line-X of Colorado Springs. We offer vehicle coatings, truck/SUV accessories/installations including rooftop tents, rack systems, bumpers, winches, ARB air systems, recovery gear and a bunch of other stuff. Feel free to message or give us a call if you guys have any needs, questions, or looking to have some work done. I'm hoping to make it to the next meetup in March. Here is a Wrangler JL project we just finished: View attachment 2072 View attachment 2073
